A PIECE OF SPAIN IN BUCHAREST

english version below

Review: Alioli, Bucharest

I love Spanish food, so whenever I crave something I head out to Alioli. They have an amazing menu, topped off with great Spanish drinks. Paella is my favorite dish here so go with this if you can’t decide. You have multiple options: chicken, vegetarian or seafood.

I recently visited the second Alioli location in Bucharest: La Finca. In Spanish, Finca is a rural property, a ranch we could say, and the Alioli staff and decor take you out of the Bucharest urban jungle … even our waiters were 100 percent Latin: warm, kind and able to crack a good joke.

We arrived straight from the office, with a big appetite, so the tapas we ordered disappeared instantly, and I failed to take a picture. I was a delicious Jamon plate, accompanied by a delicious aioli sauce, with compliments from the house.

For the second part, we chose a tasty paella, that tasted exactly like the delightful ones from Spain. It all went down with a refreshing sangria.

It was the perfect warm-up for the following vacation … because we chose a popular Spanish destination for our summer trip this year 🙂

You can read below about the other location Alioli from Bucharest and what are the famous guests have eaten there.

You must know that from some time now the tortilla is no longer on the menu. I believe it’s only made by a previous request. Tip: put it back in the menu, no meal is a Spanish meal without “tortilla de patatas”.

Alioli
And a tip for football/soccer lovers (especially Real Madrid fans) – the official fan club gathers here to see the matches. On the wall, you can admire the t-shirts signed by the Real Madrid stars and some lovely pictures.
