Iata cateva idei pe care le-am pus in practica pentru anul acesta: | Lots of people have a hard time choosing Christmas gifts. It’s very hard to make a good choice, but also, financially the month of December comes along with many unplanned expenses. Besides the more expensive gifts for my close ones (husband and parents) in our friends’ group, we do not put so much pressure on ourselves for Christmas. We try not to make our life hard, we budget and try to keep it as simple as possible. Budgeting is the key for a more relaxing Christmas. We usually gift something symbolic. Here are a few ideas we tried this year: |
Stationery with a winter theme, or maybe a planner or a book you know for sure someone wants:
- Decoratiuni de Craciun/Christmas decorations:
- Dulciuri/Sweets:
- Magenti de frigider cumparati de-a lungul calatoriilor mele din acest an/Fridge magnets from my travels over the year:
- Un tricou imprimat cu ceva ce stiti sigur ca ii va placea/A printed tshrit with a message you’ll know for sure it will be perfect:
For me, good food and experiences are worth far more than any other gifts. Spending some relaxing time with family at a favorite restaurant is the best present for me. Of course, that can also get expensive.

You are so right and even for those ‘nearest and dearest’ it is the thought rather than the money which is important. Last year Petronela (my wife) said a relatively inexpensive present was “the best present I ever had”; it was a simple cushion custom printed with the lyrics of ‘our song’ (in the shape of a heart) with the date of our wedding, then 16 years previously.
An expensive present to those not ‘nearest and dearest’ can often give the wrong message.

This is so true! A gift does not have to be expensive to impress. It’s the thought that counts and the heart you put into that gift 🙂

Lovely ideas! So much money is wasted on Christmas and it doesn’t bring the joy it should. Hope you have a lovely one and thanks for your company. 🙂 🙂
