A seamless infinite labyrinth, quiet in the mornings but restless during the nights, this is how Mykonos feels like.
Narrow white streets can lead you into the pounding heart of the city or at the edge of the bluest sea. Patches of magenta flowers pop up in your way, combining everything in a perfect painting that captures your attention and stays forever in your memory.

Cam asa arata linistea surprinsa intr-o fotografie: By far the most popular and photographed place in Mykonos is Little Venice, this magical corner of the world where the shore meets the sea. Here you can stop for a drink to admire the blue water and just forget about yourself and the world. This is how peaceful looks like:
Literally, a few steps away lies another important landmark of the island: the famous windmills throne over the island. Once used to produce flour are now forever stuck in time guarding over the island.
Puiul saganaki in sos rosu cu feta si pita facuta in casa cu Tzatziki sunt incredibil de delicioase. The old port is another popular spot on the island. Visit the Church of Paraportiani or stop at one of the many restaurants. We ate two delicious meals at Captain’s. The chicken saganaki in red sauce and feta cheese and homemade pita with Tzatziki are absolutely delicious.

These are also the places frequented by the city mascot: Petros the Pelican. Read here about his story. Despite my repeated searchings during my city strolls, I failed to meet the island’s most popular inhabitant. Did any of you have the pleasure of being greeted by the pelican?

The heart of the city is as fascinating as the surrounding spots. Get lost and forget about the time passing by as you wander around the narrow streets to discover hidden gems. We stopped to cool off and have a few drinks at Katerina’s Bar.

You can shop for famous brands or local merchandise then watch an amazing sunset or later during the night head off to one of the numerous bars and discos the town has to offer. From decadent luxury to affordable places, this wonderful city has it all. Everywhere you can find a hidden place, perfect for a photo shoot to remember.
