REVIEW: MY STAY IN ROME – RIVER PALACE HOTEL

Post available in English and Romanian
Locatia hotelului este foarte importanta in Roma.

The location of the hotel is very important in Rome. If you plan to visit a lot of the touristic objectives, make sure to pick a central location, as this will allow you to walk towards most of the important places.

We chose to stay at the River Palace Hotel, close to Piazza del Popolo, and the metro. The location is perfect for an active tourist that wants to make the most of a vacation to Rome.

You have quick access on foot or by public transport to all the touristic objectives, and you can easily catch a metro connection at Termini to get in from both airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino.

The staff of the hotel is amazing, I cannot praise them enough for making our stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. The reception staff was very welcoming, especially Mihaela, she gave us great advice on what to see and most importantly where to eat some delicious Italian food.

We also had breakfast included, with many delicious options to choose from. Look at that pretty coffee heart ❤☕

Puteti plati in plus pentru o camera superioara.

The standard rooms are rather small, but it’s a situation that you will find almost everywhere in Rome. Still, you can pay extra for a more spacious, superior room if you want. Our room was located on the 6th floor and it was very warm (perfect after we returned from rainy Rome) and also quiet. The room is oriented towards the back of the building so if noise is a problem for you, make sure to request a room like this.

The internet connection also worked very well, and in each room, you will find a smartphone that can act as your guide in Rome (free of charge, providing you with an internet connection, maps, directions, and attractions). We did not use it much since our internet plan includes international trips, but it can be a lifesaver for a tourist that is not from the European Union.

I also have to mention that the room was one of the cleanest I stayed in during my travels and that the sweets we received each evening were delicious.

The hotel bar is also nice and cozy, try the limoncello cream, it was our favorite thing from the menu 🙂

    1. I already miss the room. Usually in Europe the breakfast is a great experience. I can count on the fingers of one hand the bad experiences I’ve had with the breakfast they provided at European hotels. We love good food :)) Never been in the States though, hope to be able in the near future to get at least 2 weeks vacation to enjoy the experience.
