Stadio, as you may suspect is a restaurant that targets sports fans, but it’s not reserved especially for them. You do not have to be a sports aficionado to visit this place and try some delicious food. The industrial decor and the relaxed atmosphere you’ll find there make a lovely impression. If you are a sports fan, you will find small details at every turn of the eye.

As I am a major sports and football fan, I felt right at home here. Let me begin with the table, we sat down by chance. It was marked with Jose Mourinho’s name and right there you could read one of his cheeky sayings:
Could be Jose Mourinho or even Arya Stark. Once, we all wanted to be someone, now it’s better to be No One 🙂
As a big Mourinho fan, I figured there could not be a better start for my food marathon, so I no longer waited and chose the first “opponent” from the menu: we shared some amazing tacos, which would surely impress even Javier Hernández.
Toate bunatatile le-am asezonat cu berea preferata a celor care se uita la Champion’s League 😛 Then I tackled something lighter, halloumi cheese with a green salad to remind me of my greek vacations. My doubles partner chose some crunchy turkey sticks that went wonderfully with the garlic and parmesan fries. We were in for a real treat. All the food went great with some beer approved even by the Champion’s League fans.
De data asta nu am mai avut putere sa ducem meciul in prelungiri 🙂 It was not our first visit and it surely won’t be the last as we also want to come back and also try a sweet treat. This time we had some trouble going into extra time for dessert 🙂

  1. Not for me but an interesting read (I’m not sure who Jose Mourhino is ! 😂). Glad to see they use the same Ikea crockery I have at home, so obviously if their food is good as their table setting taste I reckon it must be good. Anyway, I believe you 😃.

    1. Ps. You may have gathered I’m no sports fan (with the exception of gymnastics thanks to the Romanian young ladies, beginning with you know who) but even I could not be other than elated by Liverpool’s achievement against Barcelona. Petronela was over the moon; she IS a football fan and Liverpool has always been her no.1 team, despite the ribbing she gets from her students who tend to support one of the ‘Manchesters’.

      1. Yes, I knew you are not a sports fan, but indeed last night’s victory was a very special one for Liverpool. Romanians are very much into sports, men, women it does not matter. Who does Petronela support from Romania? I never picked any preferred teams from England (Liverpool is also very popular here. Most of my friends or co-workers are Liverpool fans), but besides my passion for Steaua (a Romanian team) I keep Real Madrid close to my heart. Seeing Barcelona fail like that was pleasing 🙂
And regarding the Romanian gymnastics team, I am so sad that they no longer are at the same level, but hoping for a comeback.

  2. Petronela tells me she no longer supports any particular Romanian team but when she did, way back in Ceaucescu time, it was Steaua too. She does, of course, always support the Romanian national team in international competitions.
It is sad about the Romanian gymnastics team but it is not their fault and I support them anyway!
