REVIEW: HIPOTELS MEDITERRANEO

In vacanta din Sa Coma am stat la Hipotels Medieteraneo, un hotel minunat doar pentru adulti, clasat la patru stele. Gazdele noastre s-au asigurat ca totul e perfect si ne simtim ca acasa.
Hotelul e urias – are 397 camere si pana sa ajungem eram sigura ca va fi o experienta cam impersonala, avand in vedere cati oameni sunt cazati. Si cat de tare m-am inselat … de cand am ajuns la check in, stafful a fost atent la nevoile noastre si interactiunea cu ei a fost extrem de placuta. Recomand o camera cu vedere la mare si cum o poza face cat 1000 de cuvinte o sa las peisajul sa vorbeasca.

While I was vacationing in Sa Coma, I stayed at Hipotels Mediterraneo, a wonderful adults-only hotel, rated at four stars. They made sure our stay is perfect and feels like at home.
The hotel is huge – it features 397 rooms and I was sure prior to arriving that the experience was gonna be a bit impersonal, considering how many people they have to tend to. Boy was I wrong … since the moment we arrived at the reception for the check-in the staff was incredibly warm, inviting and helpful. I do recommend a sea view room and since a picture is worth 1000 words I’ll let the view speak for itself.

ONE DAY IN PALMA DE MALLORCA

E pacat sa zbori pana in Mallorca si sa nu vizitezi si capitala orasului, Palma de Mallorca. O sa descoperiti un oras vibrant, care are o poveste de spus la fiecare colt. Turisti curiosi bat strazile in lung si in lat un cautarea unui loc trendy ca sa manance sau sa bea ceva, sau cauta cele mai apropiate plaje. Localnicii sunt obisnuiti cu furnicarul din sezon si isi fac linistiti drum spre munca sau pe unde au ei drum pe strazile aglomerate din Palma de Mallorca.

Noi am facut o vizita de o zi in acest frumos oras, care are atat de multe de oferit incat nu am reusit sa ajungem peste tot, dar iata care sunt cele mai importate obiective turistice.

It’s a shame to fly to Mallorca and not pay a visit to the island’s capital city, Palma de Mallorca. You’ll discover a vibrant city, with pieces of history hidden at every corner. Curious tourists are roaming the streets in search of a trendy place to eat or have a drink or looking for the best beach to get a nice tan. The locals are already used with the seasonal visitors and are heading peacefully to work or they are running errands on the busy streets of Palma.

We dedicated a day to visit this beautiful city, and while it has so many to offer, here are a few things that you should not miss if you are planning a short visit to Palma de Mallorca.

MALLORCA SUMMER TRIP

Frumoasa insula Mallorca are doua parti; este in primul rand faimoasa printre calatorii tineri pentru viata de noapte si petrecerile memorabile care au loc pe aceasta insula din Spania. Multi nu stiu asta, insa pe insula exista si statiuni mai linistite, pentru lenesii care vor sa petreaca zile intregi bucurandu-se de plaja si de nisipul fin sau vizitand cateva dintre cele mai cunoscute obiective. Magaluf a fost prima noastra alegere, insa dupa o jumatate de an mai stresanta ne-am razgandit in ultimul moment si am rezervat un hotel localizat in partea mai linistita a insulei, pentru ca am vrut sa stam doar la plaja si sa ne incarcam bateriile. Desigur, cum noi suntem calatori activi si foarte curiosi, nu am prea reusit sa ne indeplinim obiectivul initial. Am renuntat de cateva ori la plaja ca sa exploram insula pe cont propriu. Si nu am regretat aceasta decizie nici macar un moment.

The beautiful island of Mallorca has two sides; the most famous one is very well known by young travelers, that go there to party all night long and enjoy the crazy nightlife offered by the Spanish island. Many people don’t know it, but this island also offers a few peaceful retreats, for the ones that want to enjoy the sun and sandy beaches and spend lazy days relaxing or visiting the most famous objectives. Magaluf was our first choice, but after a stressful half of year, we changed our minds last minute and booked a hotel on the “quiet” part of the island, as we wanted to chill out on the beach and recharge our batteries. Of course, being the curious and active travelers that we are, we could not stay put and we left the beach behind a few times to explore what the island has to offer. And we never regretted this decision.

REVIEW: MY STAY IN ROME – RIVER PALACE HOTEL

Locatia hotelului este foarte importanta in Roma. Asadar, daca aveti de gand sa vedeti multe obiective turistice, alegeti un hotel central, care va permite sa mergeti pe jos la cele mai importante si cunoscute locatii.

Noi am stat la River Palace, aproape de Piazza del Popolo si de o statie de metrou. Locatia este perfecta pentru un turist activ, care vrea sa profite la maxim de vacanta sa la Roma.

Hotelul are acces rapid pe jos sau cu mijloacele de transport in comun la toate obiectivele turistice si cu legatura de metrou de la Termini se ajunge repede de la ambele aeroporturi, Fiumicino si Ciampino.

Stafful hotelului este de nota zece, nici nu am destule cuvinte de lauda pentru ca ne-au facut sederea placuta si relaxanta. La receptie toata lumea este foarte amabila si ii multumim in special Mihaelei, care ne-a dat sfaturi foarte bune legate de ce sa vedem si cel mai important unde sa mancam cat mai bine.

Am avut si micul dejun inclus si multe optiuni din care sa alegem. Nici nu imi venea sa ma ating de cafea ❤☕

The location of the hotel is very important in Rome. If you plan to visit a lot of the touristic objectives, make sure to pick a central location, as this will allow you to walk towards most of the important places.

We chose to stay at the River Palace Hotel, close to Piazza del Popolo, and the metro. The location is perfect for an active tourist that wants to make the most of a vacation to Rome.

You have quick access on foot or by public transport to all the touristic objectives, and you can easily catch a metro connection at Termini to get in from both airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino.

The staff of the hotel is amazing, I cannot praise them enough for making our stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. The reception staff was very welcoming, especially Mihaela, she gave us great advice on what to see and most importantly where to eat some delicious Italian food.

We also had breakfast included, with many delicious options to choose from. Look at that pretty coffee heart ❤☕

ROME DAY FIVE: ARRIVEDERCI!

A fost ultima noastra zi aici, asa ca am luat-o incet, dupa patru zile pline. Ne-am facut bagajul si am luat micul dejun in liniste, timp in care am planificat vizita la Galeriile Borgheze … noroc ca am realizat la timp ca muzeul e inchis lunea. Iata, inca un motiv sa revenim la Roma. Asa ca am ales sa facem pur si simplu o plimbare. Imi place sa ratacesc pe stradutele unui oras nou si sa vad totul dintr-o perspectiva mai putin turistica.

This was our last day here so we took it slow after for full days. We packed our bags after breakfast and wanted to visit the Borghese Galleries … but remembered quickly enough the museum is closed on Mondays. That’s another reason to come back to Rome. We decided to stroll around Rome just for the fun of it. I like “to get lost” on the streets and see the city from a non-touristic perspective.
