Review: Alioli, Bucharest

Iubesc mancarea din Spania, asa ca oricand poftesc la ceva dau fuga cu drag la Alioli. Au un meniu minunat si multe bauturi aduse direct din Spania. Daca nu stiti ce sa alegeti, atunci eu va recomand Paella (cu carne, fara sau cu fructe de mare) nu aveti cum sa dati gres.

Cea mai recenta vizita a fost la a doua locatie deschisa de Alioli in Bucuresti: La Finca. In Spania, “finca” este o proprietate rurala, o ferma am putea spune, iar cei de la Alioli reusesc sa te scoata din jungla urbana din Bucuresti … pana si ospatarii sunt din peisajul suta la suta latin: calzi, amabili si glumeti.

Am ajuns acolo direct de la birou, cu pofta de mancare din plin, asa ca aperitivele au disparut instantaneu, fara sa mai am timp sa vi le arat. O portie delicioasa de jamon, insotita…

REVIEW: STADIO RESTAURANT BUCHAREST

Stadio, asa cum ii spune numele este un restaurant care se adreseaza iubitorilor de sport, dar nu numai. Nu trebuie sa fii pasionat de fenomen ca sa dai o fuga pana acolo si sa incerci cateva feluri de mancare delicioase. Decorul industrial si atmosfera relaxata te cuceresc imediat chiar daca nu le ai cu sportul. Daca esti pasionat in schimb, micile detalii te vor cuceri pe loc, pe masura ce le vei observa. Stadio, as you may suspect is a restaurant that targets sports fans, but it’s not reserved especially for them. You do not have to be a sports aficionado to visit this place and try some delicious food. The industrial decor and the relaxed atmosphere you’ll find there make a lovely impression. If you are a sports fan, you will find small details at every turn of the eye.

BUCHAREST IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT

O data pe an, orasul meu se umple de lumina si ofera imagini spectaculoase. Edilii orasului incearca sa compenseze cumva pentru multele probleme de care ne lovim. Pun o masca deasupra orasului si matura mizeria sub covor. Tactica frunctioneaza si cel putin o data pe an vedem Bucurestiul intr-o lumina diferita. Luminitele se vor stinge in curand, asa ca e pacat sa nu le vedeti si voi. Once a year, my hometown lights up and shines offering spectacular views. The town officials try to compensate for the many issues we are facing by putting on a mask and dusting the dirt under the rug. The thing is … this really works and each year we see this town in a better light (pun intended). So let me guide you through Bucharest before the pretty lights turn off.

Pentru mine mancarea este una dinte micile placeri ale vietii si intotdeauna ma bucur atunci cand gasesc in Bucuresti un loc special, care ma face sa imi doresc sa revin din nou si din nou ca sa incerc gusturi speciale. E fix ceea ce mi s-a intamplat cu Paine si Vin. Food has always been one of life’s small pleasures for me, this is why I am always happy when I discover great places in Bucharest, making me want to go back again and again for a delicious bite. REWIEW: TRATTORIA BUONGIORNO

Incet-incet descopar ca imi place foarte mult sa va scriu despre … mancare. Asta si pentru ca sunt gurmanda de cand ma stiu. Cu greu ma convingea mama in copilarie sa nu mananc toata ciocolata intr-o singura zi si sa pastrez si pentru restul saptamanii. Principiul e simplu: “Traieste clipa”. Ma bucur pe moment de ce am si daca nu imi ramane si pentru mai tarziu … pai atunci asta e. Macar am fost fericita mai devreme.

Sa trecem deci, la fapte. Saptamana trecuta mi-am delectat papilele gustative la Trattoria Buongiorno (de pe Lascar Catargiu).

Am incercat Ravioli rosso con Buratta in traducere libera: Ravioli proaspete, muguri de pin, smântână dulce, parmezan. Buuunnnn rau de tot, iar sosul de smantana a fost perfect, nu a ingreunat deloc preparatul.

I’m just realizing that I love to write for you about … food. It’s because I’ve been a food lover since I can remember. In my childhood, my mom could barely get me to save a piece of chocolate for the next day. It’s really easy actually: I prefer to live in the moment and enjoy what I have now. If I don’t save some for later … it’s not a loss. At least I was happy while it lasted.

Let’s get down to business. Last week I’ve delighted myself with some delicious food at Trattoria Buongiorno (located on Lascar Catargiu Street).

We’ve tried Ravioli Rosso con Burrata: Fresh ravioli, pine nuts, cream, parmesan. Reallyyyyy tasty. The cream sauce was just right, not heavy at all, just a delight with the rest of the ingredients.

REVIEW: DINING AT SAINT GEORGE, BUCHAREST

Cand nu am timp sau bani sa calatoresc, imi place sa ma simt ca in vacanta in Bucurestiul meu. Asa ca la fiecare pas prin oras incerc sa gasesc frumusetea ascunsa a locurilor prin care trec. Ca sa nu ma plictisesc niciodata, imi place sa ies in locuri cat mai diverse, si sa incerc lucruri cat mai diferite. E valabil si atunci cand vine vorba de o cina in doi. Din cand in cand, mancarea gatita in casa nu e de ajuns, ai nevoie doar de un locusor linistit, unde sa bei ceva si sa mananci ceva bun. When I don’t have the time or money to travel, I like to take a moment and feel like I’m on vacation in my Bucharest. I try to find the hidden beauty of the city with every step I take. I don’t like to visit the same places every time, it would be boring, so I try to mix it up and try different things. This also counts when we’re planning a dinner out for two. From time to time homecooked meals are not enough, all you need is a quiet place to drink and eat something tasty.
