STEP INTO HISTORY

During my first days in Rhodes I didn’t know where to look first; to my left and my right, wonders of the ancient world, buildings that looked frozen in time and made me feel like a time – traveler. The gorgeous blue sea was always in the picture, and above I could always see an incredible sky because it barely rains during the summer in Rhodes (to be more accurate, it never rains). And yes, even when you look down you will be amazed. With each step, there are beautiful mosaics, crafted out of sea stones, which not only are a sight for the eyes, they also offer a foot massage. Don’t wear heels or light shoes, you’ll need a thicker sole to walk the old streets.

As you can see, no mosaic looks like the others, and I only managed to capture a few of them.

BUCHAREST IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Post available in English and Romanian
Acum o saptamana si putin a avut loc in Bucuesti festivalul Spotlight. Bucharest hosted Spotlight Festival a week ago. I haven’t had time to add the pictures, but I hope you’ll still enjoy them. For four days, Calea Victoriei was the place to be: an open air exposition, filled with light, sounds and a modern vibe.

HIDDEN TREASURES

Post available in English and Romanian
Daca stii unde sa cauti,  in orasul trist exista si locuri in care gri-ul predominant a fost inlocuit de culori vesele. If you know where to look, in the sad town you’ll also find colorful places, where the predominant grey was replaced with happy colors.

FLORENTA: ARTA, STIL SI ISTORIE / FLORENCE: ART, STYLE AND HISTORY

Post available in English and Romanian
Florenta e orasul in care am visat sa ajung inca de cand eram mica. Capiala artei in perioada Renasterii, Florenta este orasul in care s-au nascut sau au domiciliat minti luminate precum Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Machiavelli, Michalangelo, Donatelo sau Galileo Galilei. Florence is the city I have dreamt to visit since I was a kid. The capital of art in the Renaissance period, Florence is the place where great artists or thinkers changed the world as we know it today. Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante, Boccaccio, Botticelli, Machiavelli, Michalangelo, Donatelo or Galileo Galilei were born or lived here.
