ROME DAY ONE: FOUNTAINS, FAMOUS SQUARES, AND RAIN

Roma ne-a intampinat cu vreme urata, dar nici macar norii nu au reusit sa ascunda frumusetea din capitala Italiei. Am aterizat pe un aeroport mai mic, Ciampino si am luat autobuzul pana la Termini (un fel de Gara de Nord din Roma). Aveam metrou direct spre hotel, dar surpriza … linia noastra era inchisa din cauza unei greve. Desigur ca nu s-au obosit sa explice si in engleza ce se intampla, dar noi ca romanii, descurcareti si cunoscatori de limba italiana de baza din … talent am inteles din prima ce vor sa ne transmita 🙂 Rome welcomed us with gloomy weather, but not even the clouds managed to obscure the Italian capital’s beauty. We landed at the smaller airport, Ciampino and took the bus to the Termini station (the mainline railway station in Rome). We had a direct metro connecting us to our hotel but surprise … that particular line was closed because of a strike. Of course, they did not bother to put in place an announcement in English, but what do I care, since I have no problem understanding and speaking basic Italian.
